Google is expanding the Google translation app feature set. Now the app will use AI to help users learn any language within the platform. It keeps the Google translation directly in competition with apps such as Duoolingo, which provides language learning courses.

Unlike traditional language learning apps, the Google translation completely depends on the tailor course for a user on AI. The app needs to be tapped on the first practice button. The user will then get the option to choose their skill level in the language that they are trying to learn, such as basic, intermediate or advanced.

The app will then ask for the purpose behind learning the language. Users can type in the landscape or select one of the already existing options. AI will then use this information to match the program cured for your needs.

Users will get access to the practice of listening or speaking, similar to apps such as Duoolingo. However, the practice will be based on the pre-selective needs of the course.

Google is rolling this feature for beta testers on Android and iOS from this week. For now, it will only provide courses to practice Spanish and French for English speakers. While French, Spanish and Portuguese speakers will be able to practice English.

Google Live Translation is available in 70+ languages

Another new feature in Google translation is live translation. This will allow users to speak two different languages in real time through AI.

When using this feature, users will receive real -time audio and transcription during the conversation, similar to the live translation of Pixel 10. However, on Google translation, AI does not try to match the user’s voice and tone when generating translated audio.

Google claims that this feature will allow users to have more natural interactions through the app. The company emphasizes that the app will separate the background noise, which will help for easy interaction even at busy places such as airports.

This feature is available in 70+ languages including Arabic, French, Hindi, Korean, Spanish and Tamil. It is now available to users in the US, India and Mexico.
