Pixel Watch 3 specifications

Google has said that its new generation Pixel Watch 3 has a more refined design and improved functionality. The watch has been launched in two sizes, one 41mm and the other a new 45mm dial variant, which gives users more options to choose from. The 45mm model offers 40 percent more screen space than its previous model, while the 41mm model offers 10 percent more space due to thinner bezels.

Google said that the display of the new Pixel Watch 3 is capable of reaching up to 2,000 nits of brightness, making it suitable for use in a variety of lighting conditions, including bright sunlight. Also, the display can be dimmed to 1 nit for use in dark environments such as nighttime or watching movies, causing minimal strain on the eyes.

Battery life is another significant upgrade on the Pixel Watch 3. Despite the increased display size and brightness, Google says the Watch 3 is designed to deliver all-day battery life using a combination of more efficient display technology and the new Wear OS 5. The 45mm model is equipped with a 35 per cent larger battery than the previous generation, while the 41mm model boasts 20 per cent faster charging time. The Watch 3 also introduces a new Battery Saver mode that extends battery life by up to 36 hours without compromising on key functionalities such as health tracking.

On the software front, the Pixel Watch 3 features advanced fitness and recovery tools that build on Google’s comprehensive suite of health-related features. These include machine-learning-powered sleep tracking, which can automatically detect when a user is falling asleep and activate Bedtime mode, disabling notifications and always-on display to save battery life. Like other Pixel devices, Google said the Watch 3 is also deeply integrated with Google’s ecosystem, offering seamless connectivity and synchronization with other Pixel devices.

Pixel Buds Pro 2 specifications

The launch also includes Google’s latest wireless earbuds, the Pixel Buds Pro 2, along with the Pixel Watch 3. Notably, the Pixel Buds Pro 2 come more than two years after the launch of the previous Pixel Buds Pro. Google says the new generation Buds Pro are the first Pixel Buds to feature Google’s custom-designed Tensor A1 chip, which powers their audio processing and AI functionalities. The Buds Pro 2 are designed to deliver clear and balanced audio, with the Tensor A1 chip enabling more advanced processing techniques like multipath processing for better sound quality.

A key feature of the Pixel Buds Pro 2 is improved Active Noise Cancellation (ANC), which now features Silent Seal 2.0 technology. This updated ANC system is said to be capable of cancelling twice as much noise as the previous model, making it easier for users to focus on their audio without external distractions. Google also states that its new Buds Pro 2 earbuds are designed for comfort, with a secure fit that caters to different ear shapes and sizes.

Another key feature of the Pixel Buds Pro 2 is that it is integrated with Gemini, Google’s AI assistant platform. These earbuds allow users to have hands and eyes-free interactions with Gemini to control various functions or get information using voice commands. The Gemini Live feature takes this a step further, enabling more extended conversations, delivering more natural and responsive conversations using Google’s latest speech technology.

In terms of battery life, the Pixel Buds Pro 2 are designed to last up to 8 hours with active noise cancellation enabled and up to 30 hours when used with the charging case. The earbuds also support fast charging, providing up to three hours of listening time from just 15 minutes of charge.
