Flipkart Big Billion Days sale: Huge discount on Google Pixel 8

Before we dive into the specifications and features of the Google Pixel 8, let’s take a look at the discount offer. The Google Pixel 8 was launched in India at a starting price of Rs 75,999. And after the release of the Google Pixel 9 series, the smartphone saw a price drop to Rs 71,999. But now, with the Big Billion Days sale, Flipkart will sell the device at an effective price of Rs 31,999. This means that during the sale, you can buy this phone for Rs 40,000 less. Users can opt for the EMI option by paying Rs 5,334 per month. Although this deal is very attractive, it remains to be seen how many terms will be included in this deal.

Google Pixel 8: Should you buy it?

Of course, if you compare it to its successor, the Google Pixel 9, you will find the Pixel 8 a bit outdated. But at this price, it is undoubtedly a great deal. The Google Pixel 8 packs a similar design as its predecessors. However, there are subtle changes. The edges of the Google Pixel 8 are curved and the phone is slightly smaller than the Pixel 7. The phone has a glass and aluminum build and sports a 6.2-inch Actua display with a 120 Hz refresh rate. The phone offers 2,000 nits of peak brightness and Gorilla Glass Victus protection.

The Google Pixel 8 is known for its clean software experience thanks to its stock Android interface and regular updates. Powered by Google’s custom-built Tensor G3 chip, it offers acceptable performance for day-to-day tasks and AI-powered features. The phone features a triple camera setup with a 50-megapixel Octa-PD main camera, 8x Super-Res digital zoom, and a 12-megapixel sensor with autofocus and macro capabilities. On the front, there is a 10.5-megapixel camera for selfies and video calls. Talking about the battery, the Pixel 8 packs a 4,575 mAh battery that supports 27W fast wired charging. Google has also added support for 18W wireless charging without including a charger in the retail package.

On paper, the device looks attractive, but the device struggles in some areas. For instance, the Google Pixel 8 was seen to have heating issues and a mediocre processor. But overall, we still think this deal is one of the best ever, provided the terms are also agreeable for this price. Additionally, the device also comes with 7 years of software support, which includes OS upgrades, security updates, and regular feature drops.
