In a note titled ”Why Syndicate and not Government?”, RGV said that Syndicate is a cinema that can match the post-stalwart Wave – He believes that it will reshape Indian film production.

His full note:

“Syndicate is based on the premise of what would happen if India’s entire legal system collapsed in a single day”

It would be almost like a horror movie, not because of any super natural elements, but because it would highlight the horrors that exist in some human minds that they can act out so horrifyingly.

Syndicate is about the rise of an organization so powerful, so unified and so insanely driven that it threatens the very existence of India.

I believe that Syndicate is something that will match the era after #Dhrandhar2 and that is the reason for my decision.

After watching #Dhurandhar2 here are my thoughts on why I want to erase my entire past and become a newborn or reborn director

When I was around 10 years old, I wanted to be an auto rickshaw driver, because I used to be mesmerized by the vroom vroom sound when the accelerator spun.. And then around 15, I wanted to live in the jungle, inspired by one of my cousins, and then a few years later, I wanted to be an engineer and then once again I changed my mind to become a director.

Similarly I was very interested in Enid Blyton’s books, which I gave up when I discovered James Hadley Chase, who I thought was the greatest writer of all time.

And then after a few years I met Frederick Forsyth who surprised me beyond my imagination

In fact we all keep getting reshaped from time to time due to new and fresh experiences which keep raising our benchmarks as they should.

My benchmark films were The Sound of Music (Rangeela), Exorcist (Raat, Bhoot), Godfather (Satya, Company, Sarkar).. In my entire career I have been making films based on those benchmarks and mainly Godfather.

But now after watching #Dhurandhar2 all my previous films seem like nothing.. If Godfather was my first benchmark in this genre, now I felt that #Dhurandhar2 is like the Godfather of Godfather in a way, it has redefined and reinvented everything, be it the craft, the style of story telling, character designs, background music, presenting emotional scenarios, performances of the cast, action choreography etc etc etc.

So it’s common sense that I need to discard the lessons learned from the old school of Coppola and join the new school
@AdityaDharFilms And this is the only way one can stay updated.

It would be a suicidal mistake on the part of any filmmaker/writer/star not to sacrifice their ego and do a thorough academic research study of #Dhurandhar2 and then do a thorough review and then rework on what they have believed so far, and adapt to a great extent.

Failing that, and if you all still hold on to the same old cinematic beliefs that were brutally murdered on March 19th
2026, you too will die.”
