The makers of ‘The Greatest of All Time’ released the trailer of ‘Thalapathy Vijay is the Goat’ in Hindi on Friday. The film, which stars Thalapathy Vijay in a double role, is one of the most awaited Tamil releases of the year. The film is directed by Venkat Prabhu and produced by AGS Entertainment.
The trailer is packed with action, as expected by the audience, and also has some impressive CGI work. Vijay fights bad guys everywhere – inside a train, in the air, in the water, as well as saves the country. Though it is too early to say anything, the trailer of ‘GOAT’ might remind you of Shah Rukh Khan’s ‘Jawaan’. The trailer gives a glimpse of Vijay in a double role, in which he plays a father-son duo.

Interestingly, in the trailer, Vijay is seen saying, ‘Sathiyama Inime Kudikave Kudaadhu (Never drink after this)’, which reminds one well of Thala Ajith’s dialogue in director Venkat Prabhu’s 2011 action film ‘Mankatha’. Fans are particularly having a lot of fun over the last scene of the trailer in which Vijay is seen recreating his famous ‘Marudhamalai’ scene from his iconic film ‘Ghilli’.

Earlier, revealing the story of the film in an interview, the director told the media that his film is a fictional story in which Vijay plays the role of a RAW agent. He said, “‘GOAT’ is a fictional story. But, we have made it close to reality. Vijay and his core team are part of the Special Anti Terrorist Squad. It is a branch of RAW. What they did in the past becomes a problem in the present. How Vijay and his core team face the challenges is the story.”
Vijay, who has now quit films to focus on his political career, will be seen in a never-seen-before avatar in the film. The film also stars Prashanth, Prabhu Deva, Ajmal Ameer, Mohan, Jayaram, Sneha, Laila, Meenakshi Chowdhary and Yogi Babu in pivotal roles, making it one of the most anticipated high-octane action dramas of the year.
