GOAT Box Office Day 10: Thalapathy Vijay’s film wins again
Thalapathy Vijay’s GOAT is close to the Rs 200 crore mark in India despite initial fluctuations in the box office collection. The film is directed by Venkat Prabhu.
Thalapathy Vijay starrer GOAT is just a few steps away from crossing the Rs 200 crore mark in India. The film released in theatres on September 5 amid massive eagerness. The film, which grossed Rs 44 crore, saw fluctuations in earnings after the first weekend. GOAT has now picked up pace and has reportedly earned Rs 13 crore on the 10th day.
Thalapathy Vijay and director Venkat Prabhu’s The Greatest of All Time aka GOAT earned Rs 6.75 crore on Day 9 (Friday, September 13). The film picked up pace again on Saturday and earned Rs 13 crore. Saconilc The domestic collection of the film now stands at Rs 197.75 crore.

India Today Digital gave GOAT a rating of 2.5/5. An excerpt from the review reads: “‘GOAT’ has a thin storyline that relies too much on references rather than a strong plot. This, along with its three-hour run-time, tests your patience. However, it is in the last 30 minutes that Venkat Prabhu’s film really comes alive. Twist after twist and cameo after cameo lift the sinking script. This is the phase that lets the audience walk out with a smile on their face.”
It further read, “As an actor, Vijay is brilliant at playing two different characters on screen. As the young Vijay, he brings his character in ‘Azhagiya Tamizh Magan’ alive and you can’t stop yourself from enjoying it. The film also serves as a reminder that Vijay, one of the biggest actors of Tamil cinema, is bidding adieu at his peak.”
Directed by Venkat Prabhu, GOAT is a spy thriller starring Vijay in a double role. Prashanth, Prabhu Deva, Ajmal Ameer, Mohan, Jayaram, Sneha, Laila and Meenakshi Chowdhary play lead roles in the film. Actors Trisha and Sivakarthikeyan have made cameo appearances in the film.
