The first song of Bandish Bandits season two, titled Ghar Aa Mahi, was released on 15 November. The track is picturized on the series’ protagonists, Radhe (Ritvik Bhowmik) and Tamannaah (Shreya Chaudhary), capturing the essence of their evolving relationship.
Presented by Digvijay Singh Pariyar and Nikhita Gandhi, Ghar Aa Mahi skillfully blends Hindustani classical music with Western pop, echoing Sajan Bin’s innovative musical mix from the first season. Taking inspiration from Raga Bhimpalasi, the song seamlessly blends Hindi and English lyrics, and adds a modern flair to its classical roots.
With its rich musicality and emotional depth, Ghar Aa Mahi sets the tone for the much-awaited second season, which promises another captivating journey of music and love.
Composed by Ana Rehman, written by Shubham Shiruley. Ghar Aa Mahi also brings together traditional instruments like Sarangi and Tabla with contemporary guitar and bass.
When asked about the song, Digvijay Singh Pariyar said, “Ghar Aa Mahi has an emotional resonance and I believe it will touch the audience deeply. As a singer, it was incredible to dive into this blend of classical rhythms and modern rhythms. The song, like the show, celebrates the power of music to bridge divides.”
