In an Instagram post, Geetu wrote, “A rare blend of talent and superstardom is a tremendous combination. I am so proud of Yash, not only for the performance of Raya that the world will see, but also for the discipline and heart he brings to our film every day.”
He emphasized Yash’s approach towards his role, saying, “It is not just a role he plays; it is a chapter he has carved in his artistic legacy. He has always questioned, challenged, explored and surrendered in the service of the story, when truth meets art.”
Reflecting on the collaborative journey, Geetu said, “Through our collaboration, I not only discovered the depth of storytelling, but also found a producer who supported me throughout and made this journey deeply meaningful. In the whirlwind of his fame, it is easy to overlook the depth beneath the surface.”
He further wrote, “I wish that his future directors would have the courage to explore the immense potential of the talent he brings to his art. Our journey was built on trust, long conversations and a shared belief in something bigger than the two of us.”
Concluding her note, Geetu wrote, “I feel grateful for the trust, artistry and above all the friendship we shared. He will be with me long after the cameras are off. Happy Birthday Yash (sic).”
