The Tamil film industry had a slow start in 2024 with no major releases except for the re-release of Thalapathy Vijay and Trisha starrer Ghilli, which performed exceptionally well at the box office. Meanwhile, Soori starrer Garudan also tried its luck and the response the crime thriller received was amazing. Now, in a recent update, Soori and Unni Mukundan starrer Garudan is all set for OTT debut. Check it out!
Garudan will stream on Prime Video
The official streaming site announced its Prime Day lineup on the social media platform and wrote, “The epic entertainment marathon is coming, the complete #PrimeDay lineup is here.”
Garudan will start streaming on Prime Video on July 3, 2024 in Tamil language with English subtitles.

Vetrimaaran’s story forms the basis of the Tamil action film Garudan, directed by RS Durai Senthilkumar. After the commercial success of Viduthalai: Part 1, Soori is playing the lead role in his next film.
Besides, M. Sasikumar, Unni Mukundan, Sivatha Nair, Revathi Sharma, Samuthirakani and Rajendran also played important roles in the film.
The film began production in January this year and was completed within a month. Also, Yuvan Shankar Raja has written the film’s soundtrack.
The project was financed by Vetrimaaran and K. Kumar through their joint venture, Grass Root Film Company and Lark Studios. On May 31, 2024, the action thriller was launched in theaters. It received a good response, especially the way it was executed and the commendable performances.
Upcoming movies of Soori and Unni Mukundan
Currently, Suri is gearing up for the release of Viduthalai 2, the sequel to his cult classic thriller Viduthalai: Part 1. The film stars Vijay Sethupathi and Manju Warrier, apart from Suri, Bhavani Shrey, Gautham Vasudev Menon, Prakash Raj, Ilavarasu and many others.
Viduthalai Part 2 is financed by Elred Kumar and Vetrimaaran through their respective companies, RS Infotainment and Grass Root Film Company.
On the other hand, Unni Mukundan is gearing up for his high-octane thriller film Marco which will be directed by Haneef Adeni and produced by Shariff Mohammed and Abdul Gadaff under the banner of Qubes International.
