On October 15, the trailer of the highly anticipated spy series, Citadel: Honey Bunny, was released. The glimpse of the TV show which stars Varun Dhawan and Samantha Ruth Prabhu in the lead roles has left the audience excited. Soon after, many Bollywood celebs like Alia Bhatt, Priyanka Chopra, Janhvi Kapoor, Karan Johar, Arjun Kapoor and others praised the lead characters on social media.
Alpha star Alia Bhatt reposted the trailer of Citadel: Honey Bunny on her Instagram Stories and wrote, “It looks amazing. My favorite is breaking it down. @samantharuthprabhoffl and @varundvn.” She also tagged the makers @rajanddk and said that she can’t wait to see it.
The National Award-winning actress was with Janhvi Kapoor, who thought the trailer was ‘banging’. Filmmaker Karan Johar also praised the team for coming up with an action-packed spin-off of the American television series Citadel starring Priyanka Chopra Jonas. In her note, she wrote on her IG stories, “This feels so weird. And can’t wait for @samantharuthprabhoffl and @varundvn to kick some ass. All the best to Honey and Bunny.”

Priyanka Chopra Jonas, who plays the lead role opposite Richard Madden in the American spy-action television series Citadel, also took time out from her busy schedule to appreciate Varun and Samantha. He showed his support for Team India and took to social media saying, “Go back to where it all started for Nadia… The original story… The trailer of Citadel: Honey Bunny has just been released. @samantharuthprabhoffl and @varundvn you have been incredible this season. @rajanddk is extraordinary.”
In the show, PeeCee plays the role of Nadia Singh, a top-class Citadel spy agent. She is also currently shooting for the second season of the show. Arjun Kapoor also joined her in supporting the team of the Indian show. He also wrote words of praise for the trailer and said, “Gind up your belts, because this is going to be an epic ride!”

For the unaware, Citadel: Honey Bunny is created by Raj & DK and written and directed by Raj & DK and Seetha Menon. Along with Varun and Samantha, it also stars Kay Kay Menon, Simran Bagga and Emma Canning and is scheduled to release on Amazon Prime Video on November 7, 2024.
