Matt LeBlanc, best known for his iconic role as Joey Tribbiani in Friends, has left his former co-stars concerned about his increasingly reclusive behavior. The actor, who maintains a low profile both on social media and in public, was recently spotted car shopping with his daughter.
LeBlanc, who last appeared on screen during a reunion episode with his Friends co-stars, has largely stayed out of the spotlight. His most recent social media post was a tribute to his late friend and Friends co-star Matthew Perry, who will die in 2023.
Sources close to LeBlanc told InTouch WeeklyExpressing concern over the actor’s isolation from his social circle. “He used to be a very cheerful and happy person but now it’s like he’s not fit to be around them,” shared an insider. They added that his increasing isolation has raised concerns. “What’s worrying for Jennifer Aniston and the rest of the Friends crew is that he has become very isolated and they hear less and less from him,” the source added.
LeBlanc reunited with his Friends co-stars – Jennifer Aniston, Courteney Cox, David Schwimmer and Lisa Kudrow – for Matthew Perry’s funeral in November 2023. Perry tragically died of a drug overdose. Despite reuniting with his former co-stars during that sad occasion, LeBlanc has been largely out of touch since then.
LeBlanc’s friendship with Perry was well-known both on-screen and off, with the actor sharing heartfelt posts and fond memories of their time together on Friends (which aired from 1994 to 2004).
