Actor Freida Pinto recently reacted to Deepika Padukone, which was named as an honor on the Hollywood Walk of Fame. He slammed the criticism on him and asked people to be proud to celebrate the South Asian community.

Actor Freida Pinto shared a heartfelt note on social media about celebrating achievements within the South Asian community instead of bringing his people down. He defended actor Deepika Padukone on the debate on being one of the 2026 Hollywood Walk of Fame Class.

Pinto expressed his views on Padukone, known in the Motion Pictures category in his Instagram Story. He wrote, “My partner for South Asian people- let’s celebrate their own celebrations and do not bring them down, please. Such news is proud to see a hardworking, talented Indian woman celebrated on a global stage (SIC).”

‘Singham Agion’ (2024) The latest achievements of the actor are held with Hollywood icon such as Demi Moore, Rachel McAidams, Emily Blaunt, Timothe Chelmet, Rami Malec and Stanley Tuki. He expressed his feelings in his Instagram story and captioned it as “thank you …”.

Padukone is the first Indian woman actor to receive the honor. Prior to him, Sabu Dastagir received the Hollywood Walk of Fame in 1960. The Dastagir was the son of an elephant Mahaout, who portrayed American director Robert Flehry’s film Elephant Boy (1937).

Earlier, Mindi became the first South Asian woman to get a star on the Kalinga Hollywood Walk of Fame.

Meanwhile, on the work front, Padukone will be seen next time in Shah Rukh Khan’s ‘Raja’, along with Suhana Khan, Abhishek Bachchan, Jaideep Ahlawat, Arshad Warsi, Rani Mukherjee, Anil Kapoor, Jackie Shroff, Saurabh Shukla, Raghav Juil, and Abhahev Shakal, and Abah

The film is directed by Siddharth Anand and a temporary set for a dramatic release on Gandhi Jayanti 2026.

Padukone also recently participated in Allu Arjun’s Pan-India Vigyan-Fi film ‘AA22xa6’. It will be directed by Atley, and the filming is about to begin later this year.
