for samsung galaxy a57 review

The Galaxy A57 is here, and it’s an easy pick to become one of Samsung’s hottest prospects of the year. In fact, it wouldn’t be too early to say that it will follow in the footsteps of its predecessors and be the company’s best seller.

The Galaxy A57 comes with a USB-C cable and a SIM tool in the box. It comes in Awesome Navy, Awesome Grey, Awesome Icyblue and Awesome Lilac, and starts at €430/$450.

There’s a lot in common between the Galaxy A57 and its stablemate, the Galaxy A37, pictured below. To make it easier to follow, we got A57 in iceblue and A37 in lavender.

The A37 is a tall, wide, thick and heavy phone. And you feel it in the hands.

The pair share a display and battery, and have very similar cameras. We took an in-depth look at the new phones in our Hot Takes.

One of the main differences is in the frame. The Galaxy A57 has a metal frame, which feels nicer to the touch, as it’s anodized and grippier, but it’s also thinner. Naturally, metal also feels sturdier than plastic.

Like other recent Galaxy phones, Samsung came up with a simple and recognizable design. The volume and power buttons are on the right side and are slightly raised on their own island, which is raised above the rest of the frame.

And while we’re talking about islands, we love the design and the camera island design. The island in the center matches the color of the phone and has a transparent effect on the edges. It’s a beautiful effect that works well with the color of the phone.

The Galaxy A57 is better built than its predecessor and is even better protected from the elements. It ranges from IP67, up to IP68 standard. Of course, there are many IP68/IP69 rated phones out there, but at this point, you won’t see any implications in real life.

On the front, the Galaxy A57 has a beautiful 6.7-inch 1080p, 120Hz Super AMOLED+. It is colourful, porous and very bright.

There’s really nothing to complain about with the Galaxy A57. This is a great phone! But maybe you still shouldn’t get one right away! Not at MSRP anyway. Some regions are already advertising free storage upgrades, meaning you’ll get a 256GB phone for the price of a 128GB phone. But even after the pre-order period ends, we expect to see continued deals for the new A-phones.

Additionally, it’s possible that at the time of this article, and depending on where you live, the Galaxy S25 FE could be a better deal than the Galaxy A57.
