Now that the Oppo Find N6 is official, let’s take a closer look. We’ve already done the unboxing, but to recap, it comes with a two-piece case, an 80W charger, and a USB cable.
You have a choice of two colors – Stellar Titanium and Blossom Orange, and three configurations – 12/256GB, 16/512GB, and 16GB/1TB.
The big thing this year is the zero-feel crease inner display. It looks really impressive. The crease is there if you look for it, but it really feels like the two parts intersect perfectly without any crease.
Oppo achieved this by laser-measuring the difference in hinge depth on a microscopic level and then applying 3D liquid polymer to flatten the hinge. It’s all very technical, but Oppo says you can expect longer longevity from the Find N6.
The screens are excellent, as you’d expect, but they’re not much different than the Find N5, just a little brighter, which you’re unlikely to notice in day-to-day scenarios.
The screens are still excellent
The Oppo Find N6 is smooth and fluid. This is what can be expected from a flagship running on Qualcomm’s latest top-tier SoC. Our unit packs 16GB of RAM along with that chip.
The cameras have improved compared to the Find N5. The main camera’s sensor size remains the same but its resolution has quadrupled – from 50MP to 200MP. This should result in some gains in detail, in both good and low light.
Another, arguably bigger, improvement is in the ultrawide, which went from an average 8MP imager to a good 50MP imager. Both selfie cameras also got high-megapixel sensors.
The Find N6 feels exactly like its predecessor in use, which is no bad thing. It has the largest display among the popular book-style foldables, making it an excellent choice for using both closed and open. The cover screen doesn’t feel like a step down from a classic bar phone, and the folding screen feels like a compact tablet when you need to view more content.
The phone feels quite sturdy when open. It’s light and thin, but reassuringly tight. It is very pleasant in the hand.
Multitasking is still excellent too
That’s all we have for now. Oppo Find N6 review is coming, but it will take some time. Be patient friends!
