Futures and options contracts of any stock enter the restriction period when the open interest (OI) on it exceeds 95% of the market-wide position limit or MWPL. The restriction will be withdrawn only if the open interest falls below 80%.
Traders trading in the index do not face security restriction situations.
MWPL for ABFRL on Tuesday was 93.7% while OI was 19.3 million. It was 13.6% lower than the previous session.
MWPL for Granules India was 136% on Tuesday while OI Trendlyne reported 9.5 million. It was 11.7% lower than the previous session.

MWPL for Hindustan Copper stood at 103.8% on Tuesday while OI stood at 7.1 million. It was 65.2% lower than the previous session.
For IEX, MWPL was 111.5% on Tuesday while OI was reported by Trendlyne at 16.5 million. It was 60.6% lower than the previous session.
MWPL for Vodafone Idea was 93.7% on Tuesday while OI of 1.5 billion was reported by Trendlyne. It was 6.8% lower than the previous session.
After an impressive streak of record highs, benchmark indices ended the day flat on Tuesday. Earlier in the session, both Nifty50 and Sensex created history, with the former crossing 26,000 and the latter crossing the 85,000 mark for the first time, indicating strong market momentum. The 30-share BSE Sensex settled down 14 points, or 0.02%, at 84,914, while the broader NSE Nifty closed up 1 point, or 0.01%, at 25,940.
