Film body lifts banned Diljit Dosanjh, Bhushan Kumar vowed to cast him not in future
Amidst the ongoing ‘Sardar Ji 3’ controversy, singer-actor Diljit Dosanjh has kept rumors about his removal from the upcoming film ‘Border 2’. Diljit shared a video from the set, where he can be seen filming a dance sequence for a highly anticipated battle drama.
In a special interview with India Today, BN Tiwari, president of the Federation of Western India Cine Employees (FWICE), confirmed that the ban on Dosaanj had been lifted. “Bhushan Kumar requested him to allow Diljit to shoot,” He said that the Federation has now canceled its earlier order, which has continued to work on ‘Border 2’ Diljit.
However, the dispute is over. Filmmaker Bhushan Kumar said, “Diljit will never cast Dosanj in future films. A letter has been issued to the Federation.”
On the other hand, FWIC member Ashok Pandit also mentioned that non-non-assessment against the actor would remain for future projects.
