Farah Khan recalls Michael Jackson’s praise, says it still gives her goosebumps
Farah Khan recently recalled meeting Michael Jackson and the compliment he gave her during a vlog. He said that that brief meeting still gives him goosebumps and remains one of his fondest memories.
Filmmaker and choreographer Farah Khan recently revisited one of the most memorable moments of her life – meeting late pop icon Michael Jackson. Farah, a longtime fan of the singer, recalled being stunned when she finally came face to face with her idol. In her latest vlog, she shared details of their brief conversation and revealed her admiration for Jackson that has stuck with her ever since.

Farah recently visited dancer and actor Shruti Sinha’s house to celebrate the success of her series. Campus Beats. Actor Shantanu Maheshwari was also seen in the vlog.
During their conversation, Shruti talked about her ballet training, prompting Farah to reflect on her admiration for Michael Jackson. Shantanu then revealed that Farah was one of the few Indians who got the opportunity to meet the music legend.
Recalling that meeting, Farah said that she had gone to choreograph the performance of Shah Rukh Khan, Aishwarya Rai and other stars when the organizers informed her that Michael Jackson could attend as the chief guest. She remembered that when Shahrukh’s performance was about to begin, she was backstage and was told that Jackson had arrived.
According to Farah, she immediately ran to meet the singer, joking that Shah Rukh would stay with her later as well, adding that the chance to meet Michael Jackson was too rare to pass up.
She further recalled her conversation with Michael, saying, “They took me to his room, and it was completely dark in there because he didn’t like bright lights and so on. He was sitting in dim light, and I’m still getting goosebumps telling this. Very soft-spoken, he asked me, ‘What’s your name?’ And I said Farah Khan. He said, ‘Such a powerful name’, and then I clicked a photo standing with him, and then later removed the sponsorships.”
Farrah said that the memories remain with her years later, describing Jackson as soft-spoken and humble despite his global fame.
Earlier this year, when the Michael Jackson biopic was released in theaters and received negative reviews from critics, Farrah publicly supported the film.
Sharing a photo of himself with the late singer on Instagram, he criticized the reviews and praised Jafar Jackson’s portrayal of Michael, saying he deserved an Oscar for his performance.
