So far, Facebook users can choose between uploading a regular video or reel, with each option with each option, including dedicated editing tools. However, the new change by Meta will soon eliminate the traditional difference between the standard video posts and reels on Facebook. Instead, the users will be able to manage all video content through an integrated system. This involves removing the format and duration restriction for reels.

Now Facebook allows users to post reels in limited time and vertical oriented videos. But with upcoming changes, meta will allow users to upload long -term and even horizontal videos as reels. The update will also bring changes in privacy and publication controls.

Meta says that the platform will unite the audience settings for feed posts and reels. This means that the privacy preferences of users will now apply to all video content. When the new system becomes live, users will be motivated to review or adjust their audience settings. This tool material will help creators to ensure that their videos reach the intended audience – whether it is a friend, a custom group, or the public.

And when Facebook is making major changes in the video, Meta is also re -preparing Facebook’s familiar video tab as a reels tab. Despite the name change, Meta assures users that videos recommendations will remain individually, inspired by users’ interests and engagement patterns.

Meanwhile, for the creators, video updates mean that along with music, effects, filters and templates – access to wide sets of editing tools – within all Facebook apps. Importantly, the meta note that will remain unchanged on the profiles and pages of the first posted video users. Only the new upload shifts will be affected by the reels, so the existing material will still be available to look as before. Meta reads the official blog post by Mata,
