The much-awaited Dhurandhar 2: The Revenge is all set for a grand release on Eid 2026 i.e. 19th March. The Ranveer Singh starrer released overseas earlier this week to an expectedly strong start. The focus now turns to the domestic market, where similar fireworks are expected.
The wait won’t be long. Pinkvilla has exclusively learned that advance booking across national chains and major multiplexes in India is set to begin tomorrow (March 7). Ticket sales will go live immediately after the launch of the theatrical trailer, which is scheduled to begin tomorrow. Sales plans will begin on a provisional censor certificate while the final certification process is completed.
Due to skyrocketing buzz and huge demand, national chains are offering higher ticket prices called “Super Blockbuster Plus”. Tentpole releases typically receive “Super Blockbuster” and “Blockbuster” pricing, approximately 10–25 percent higher than normal. At a runtime of nearly four hours, it makes sense for theaters to have higher prices than usual.
At Pinkvilla Predictions we have estimated the opening day earnings of Dhurandhar 2 to be around Rs. 75 crore to Rs. 90 crores, with an accurate prediction of Rs. 85 crores. The film may face capacity issues in almost all domestic markets.
For those unaware, Dhurandhar 2: The Revenge is one of the most talked about films of Indian cinema this year. Unlike the original film, the sequel is releasing in multiple languages including Hindi, Tamil, Telugu, Kannada and Malayalam. It will be interesting to see how Ranveer Singh’s film performs outside the Hindi territories.
