Exclusive: Arjun Kapoor claims Hera Pheri is his greatest memory of loving Akshay Kumar; Poster of Aamir Khan’s film revealed in vanity

Arjun Kapoor is a special Bollywood fan at heart. He grew up watching Indian films, which influenced him personally. Recently, the actor mentioned that he watched his Singham Again co-star Akshay Kumar’s 2000 film Hera Pheri and praised it a lot. Furthermore, he also revealed that he had posters of Aamir Khan starrer Rang De Basanti in his vanity van.

Speaking to Pinkvilla, Arjun Kapoor discussed his admiration for Kumar. The actor, who explored the comedy genre as an actor, revealed that he loved watching Kumar’s role as Raju in the 2000 film Hera Pheri. Kapoor recalled some scenes from the film and said that this was his fondest memory of liking Akshay Kumar on screen.

He said, “I think Hera Pheri, the character of Raju is iconic, when he stands there like all three in the line and Tabu comes and he says, pick it up, so I think Hera Pheri is for me, I “I think this is my biggest memory of loving Akshay Kumar.”

The Ishaqzaade actor admitted that he was a big fan of Sunil Shetty and Akshay Kumar, which is why he went to watch the film. Nonetheless, none of the actors disappointed Kapoor, who could not stop watching the film several times.

The Half Girlfriend actor described every scene from the 2000 film as ‘iconic’, adding that it was one of the movies he had posters of in his van because of the influence it had on him while growing up.

He also created the posters of the Aamir Khan starrer Rang De Basanti, released in 2006, starring Siddharth, Sharman Joshi, Soha Ali Khan and Kunal Kapoor among others.

On the work front, Arjun Kapoor was recently seen in Rohit Shetty’s Singham Again, co-starring Ajay Devgan, Kareena Kapoor, Ranveer Singh, Akshay Kumar, Tiger Shroff, Deepika Padukone and others. He received much praise for his role as the antagonist in the film and called it his ‘rebirth’ as ​​an actor.
