Exclusive: Anshula Kapoor opens on childhood trauma and being a ‘burden’, tells how parents and brother Arjun Kapoor handled her

Ansula Kapoor recently made an officer of her engagement with long -term lover Rohan Thakkar. While dropping a long note down, he called it a ‘safe place’. Ansula underlined that she was very young when she was having such a conversation with her mother. “I did not talk to the mother too much in these words because I think I am a burden for you or I am a burden of you and my father’s relationship. I think she felt without putting me in these words, because I was probably 8 or 9,” Ansula said.

She further said that at that young age, she was blaming herself for her parents to separate instead of being a burden. Ansula said, “When I was having a conversation, I think it was more in the words of I was more guilty. It happened because of me. And he was more than understanding where I came from, he also had to get me out of this loop and put me out of this idea process. Because there was no truth in it.”

After her mother’s death in 2012, her brother Arjun Kapoor took care of her. Ansula mentioned that at that time, she felt that she was a burden on her brother. He further accepted these conversations with his brother.

She further expressed that her brother used to listen to all her logical and irrational arguments as to why she wonders that she is a burden on her, and tried to understand her by making her thoughts rational and giving her a new attitude.

Talking about her father, Boney Kapoor, Ansula recalled that her mother talked to her and told her how she blames herself for her separation. “So Dad remember me in his own way, tried to address it and felt me ​​comfortably and gave me rest, only he could give me because he was the other parents,” Ansula concluded.
