As Bhool Bhulaiyaa 3 gets closer to its release, the anticipation is increasing. The horror-comedy franchise has garnered a loyal fan base, with many eagerly awaiting the next installment. In an exclusive interview with Pinkvilla, director Anees Bazmee recently shared an update on the next part, Bhool Bhulaiyaa 4, saying that it will be a bigger responsibility.
When asked about his plans on the fourth part, Anees said, “It will be a huge responsibility to make Part 4, no matter who makes it, but it will be a big, big responsibility to make it because it will be a direct comparison to the first one, to the second one. ” And with the third one, it won’t be easy for anyone, even me.”

Bazmee also discussed the possibility of Akshay Kumar returning in a future sequel with Kartik Aaryan. He expressed that it would be an excellent opportunity, especially considering Kartik’s admiration for Akshay.
He commented that Kartik is a big fan of Akshay and praised Akshay as a versatile actor who excels in comedy, emotion, action and more. He also mentioned his strong friendship with Akshay.
The director expressed his excitement about this possibility, saying that he would be very happy if it came to fruition. He mentioned that no one can predict the future, but he will definitely try to create something where Akshay Kumar can be a part of Bhool Bhulaiyaa again.
He stressed that the script would need to be exceptionally well written, as this would have to convince Akshay that the project was actually worthwhile.
Meanwhile, the third installment of the Bhool Bhulaiyaa franchise features a stellar cast including Kartik Aryan, Trupti Dimri, Vidya Balan and Madhuri Dixit. The story revolves around a centuries-old spirit terrorizing the city of Raktaghat, with two versions of Manjulika fighting for supremacy.
Produced by Bhushan Kumar, Krishan Kumar and Murad Khetani, the film marks the much-awaited return of Vidya Balan in her iconic role from the 2007 hit, oozing suspense and excitement.
Bhool Bhulaiyaa 3 is set to release on November 1, 2024, where it will compete with Rohit Shetty’s star-studded Singham Again.
