Pinkvilla has exclusively learned that Ajay Devgan and director Rajkumar Gupta are set to reunite for the third installment of their popular franchise, Raid. Yes, you read that right! After delivering the 2018 hit film and its equally impressive sequel, the makers are now gearing up for Raid 3, which is expected to go on floors by the end of 2026.
Although the makers are keeping everything under wraps, the scale and emotions of Raid 3 will be higher than the previous films. The franchise, known for its engaging storytelling and impressive visuals, is now ready to take the story into bigger and more complex territory.
A source close to the development shared, “The team has been quietly developing the script for the past few months. The conflict in the third part is bigger than the previous 2 films. The stakes are much higher, and Raid will be designed on a larger scale. Ajay Devgan’s character will face a situation unlike anything seen so far in the franchise.”
Pre-production will begin in mid-2026 after Ajay Devgan completes his ongoing commitments. Rajkumar Gupta is said to be working closely on the script to ensure that the film remains in a realistic tone like his previous franchises. Ajay Devgan will return to an even grander canvas this time as a fearless and sharp Income Tax officer in Raid 3.
Talking about Raid 2 box office, the film had made a strong start to its business with Rs 2 crores. 19 crores, and its first three days ended at Rs. Earning Rs 49.25 crore at the Indian box office. The crime-drama ended its victorious theatrical innings with a strong collection of Rs 219 crore at the global box office.
