After Tere Ishq Mein, filmmaker Aanand L Rai is already exploring another ambitious collaboration, once again with Kriti Sanon and Dhanush for an intense period love story. Pinkvilla has exclusively learned that if everything goes well, the much-awaited untitled film will hit the floors by the end of this year. However, the makers are in talks right now as the writing work is in full swing.
A source tells Pinkvilla, “Discussions are on, and while both the actors have responded positively to the script, the formal paperwork is still underway. If everything goes well, the film is expected to go on floors by the end of this year.”
Interestingly, this project is said to be completely different in tone and treatment from Tere Ishq Mein. While that film is based in a more contemporary location, the new venture is rooted in a period setting, promising romance like never before. We hear it’s an epic love story, something Hindi cinema has long been celebrated for.
Aanand L Rai, who has worked with both the actors before, is said to be particularly excited about the prospect of reuniting with them. He considers Kriti Saun and Dhanush as among the finest talents he has collaborated with, and is keen to bring them together for something that demands strong performances.
“Currently, the writing process is going on in full swing, with the filmmaker and his team focusing on perfecting the script,” the source said.
Let us tell you, Tere Ishq Mein was made on a budget of Rs 75 crore. The film ended its run at Rs 20 crore at the worldwide box office. Earning of 155 crores. Directed by Aanand L Rai, this film did well at the box office.
