Kannada actress Reshma Nanaiah, in an interview with India Today Digital, talked about her experience working with actor and director Upendra and shared her aspirations to step into Hindi films. The talented actor, who has left a mark with her acting, revealed how she was in awe of Upendra and admired his unique storytelling style.

Speaking exclusively to India Today Digital, Reshma admitted that meeting Upendra was a dream come true for her. “When I used to watch his films, I never thought that I would ever get a chance to meet him because I was a big fan of his even then. Everyone at home is a big fan of his. When I started my career as an actor, I started the journey in the Kannada industry, I was launched in a very big way, I think destiny did that, and finally I met him,” she said, recalling her initial reaction.

The actor shared how nervous she was during her first meeting with Upendra. She revealed, “I was surprised when I met him. I didn’t know what to say; I became silent. But, he is a very simple person. He made everyone feel very comfortable. My father and I were there, and he took the time to explain my character, he said, ‘No, you are suitable for this role.’ It was a huge thing for me, especially early in my career.”

Reshma greatly appreciated Upendra’s talent as a director and his unpredictable storytelling. “He’s unpredictable. You can’t guess what his next move will be. He comes up with such offbeat material. His creativity is unmatched, and he presents stories in a way that no one else can think of Even within the industry, other directors admire his work and his creative talent,” he said.

Working under the direction of Upendra was an inspiring experience for him. Reshma said, “Seeing his unique thought process and creativity firsthand inspired me to give my best in the role. It was an honor to bring to life the character he created.”

When Reshma was asked about her interest in Hindi cinema, she expressed her enthusiasm. She said, “Yes, I would love to. As an artiste, I want to play versatile roles and explore new characters. If a project excites me, I will definitely do a Hindi film. For me, in art There is no time limit.” full of oneself.
