Meghan Markle is excited to celebrate Christmas with her husband and children. As in past years, the Duke and Duchess of Sussex will spend their festive days in California with their two children, Prince Archie and Princess Lilibet.
In her conversation with Marie Claire, Markle opened up about her holiday traditions and how she wants her children to continue these rituals. The Suits actress shared that she can’t wait to make new memories with her family and loved ones.
For a few years, the Sussexes have not been invited by members of the royal family to the annual Christmas celebrations at the Sandringham estate, and so, Prince Harry, along with his wife and children, have been spending their festive days in the States.
Meanwhile, speaking about Christmas traditions, Markle revealed that one of her family’s favorite things to do is “put carrots for the reindeer.” She further added, “First of all, I think being the kids’ mom, you’re just enjoying being there with them, but they don’t understand everything that’s happening yet. But now we’re at the age where I can’t wait to see it through their lens every year.
Markle further claimed that it was important for her children to experience the “magic” of the holidays. “Every single vacation is a new adventure,” he revealed. Furthermore, the actress continued to say that traditions, such as “great dishes, end up connecting to a creative memory.”

Prince Archie and Princess Lilibet make their way onto the holiday card for the first time since 2021. While the children’s faces were not visible, the siblings were seen running towards their parents with their backs exposed.
Previously, Archie and Lilibet made an appearance in the Netflix series Harry & Meghan, which was released in December 2022.
