Epstein files found: Clue found in German model missing after 11 years – report

The German model, who had been missing for 11 years, was found for the first time after her name was clearly mentioned in the Epstein files. According to a report by German news weekly Der Spiegel, the woman, identified only as “Michelle”, left her family home in September 2015 at the age of 22 and has not been heard from since. After leaving Germany, Michelle reportedly remained in contact with Daniel Siad, a model recruiter who is linked to the Jeffrey Epstein case. According to Der Spiegel, she spent time in Dubai and other international locations before disappearing from contact.Siad is currently being investigated in France on allegations that he helped Epstein recruit and traffic women. He has denied the allegations. Epstein, the disgraced financier and convicted sex offender, died in a New York jail in 2019 while awaiting trial on federal sex-trafficking charges involving minors.Siad’s name appears repeatedly in documents apparently linked to the Epstein case, including emails in which he allegedly shared photographs and physical descriptions of women with Epstein. They allegedly contained photographs of Michelle, with one message allegedly saying that Epstein would “love her”.Documents contained in the Epstein files released by the US Justice Department in September 2025 reportedly show that Siad had discussed Michelle with Epstein in 2014, a year before her disappearance. According to records cited by media reports, Siad sent Epstein a photo of Michelle in February 2014, saying it was the only photo of her from Dubai. Epstein reportedly responded, thanking her for the image. In another message the following month, Siad reportedly referred to Michelle as “that girl you remember from Germany” and described her as someone he knew well, and said Epstein “would love her”. However, according to Der Spiegel, there is no evidence that Michelle ever met Epstein. However, the publication said it found no evidence that Michelle ever met Epstein. Two former Epstein assistants also told the magazine that they had never encountered Mitchell.More than a decade after her disappearance, Michelle’s fate remains unknown. Her mother told the publication that she fears her daughter will no longer live and suspects that something has happened to her.Meanwhile, according to Michelle’s sister, as cited in the Daily Mail report, the aspiring model left home in 2015 without telling her family where she was going or how long she planned to be away. After no contact for a month, relatives reported her missing to the police. However, under German law, authorities could only initiate an active search if there was evidence that a crime had been committed. Her father Vlado told Der Spiegel that he and Michelle’s mother Annette are desperate for answers. “It’s very important to us that we find him again – no matter the circumstances,” he said.Family members said that Michelle had dreamed of becoming a model since her teenage years, a career choice viewed with concern by her parents. Recalling a conversation she had with her daughter, Annette said: “I wanted her to get a steady job. I said to her: ‘You look beautiful now, but what will you do when you’re 30 or 40 and no one will book you?'”According to her family, Michelle moved to Dubai in 2012 and told her mother that she was working as a waitress. It was there, her mother said, that she met model recruiter Daniel Siad. Her father later claimed that Michelle had told him that she was working for Siad as an escort.A former partner of Michelle alleged that Siad would often call her and verbally abuse her. The former partner was quoted as saying, “She was receiving constant phone calls. Sometimes she was even loudly insulted. It seemed to me that she was under a lot of pressure.”According to her family, Michelle later returned to Germany and entered rehabilitation. Her father said that the two often discussed plans for a new beginning. He recalled, “We agreed: When I came back from the holidays, we would look for her an apartment and a real job.”Those plans never came to fruition. Shortly after spending several days with her mother in August 2015, Michelle disappeared without warning and has not been heard from since.
