First, wash the jamuns thoroughly and chop them into small pieces. Add them to a mortar and pestle along with sugar and fresh mint leaves. Grind them for a minute or two and keep them aside. Next, add yogurt, roasted cumin powder, black salt, chaat masala and the prepared jamun paste in a bowl. Add some more chopped jamun pieces and mix it well. Your homemade jamun and mint raita is ready! Don’t forget to refrigerate it for at least half an hour before serving.
