Empuraan Box Office Day 6: Drop in Mohanlal’s film, Rs 100 crore in India
Mohanlal’s L2: Ampuran, directed by Prithviraj Sukumaran, saw a slight decline in the number on Tuesday. The film is moving towards a net of Rs 100 crore at the domestic box office.

Malayalam superstar Mohanlal’s recently released film, L2: Empuran, tested Monday with a net of Rs 11 crore in India. On Tuesday, it saw a slight decline in the number, but still managed to earn a network of Rs 9 crore at the domestic box office. Despite a fierce controversy over the portrayal of riot scenes, the film directed by Prithviraj Sukumaran is performing well in theaters.
According to the tracking website SacnilkThe film hit a net (gross minus de cut) of Rs 79.15 crore in six days. The manufacturers claimed that at the box office around the world, Impuran has crossed the gross of Rs 200 crore.
Most of the contribution comes from the Malayalam original version. On 1 April, about 51.35 percent of the occupation was recorded in India for the Malayalam version.

Meanwhile, the re -edited edition of Impuran was displayed in theaters on Tuesday after 24 cuts by the Censor Board of Film Certification (CBFC). Footage of two minutes and eight seconds were removed, in which the villain’s name was changed.
Ampuran released in theaters in many languages on 27 March. The film ended with a cliffhzer and an lead of Part 3. Manufacturer Antony Perumbavur said the third part would definitely be created.
