On Teacher’s Day, Bollywood actress Kajol shared a heartwarming throwback photo with her mother Tanuja, calling her her greatest teacher. In this nostalgic post on social media, Kajol expressed her deep appreciation for her mother’s guidance and support in her life and career. She also took the occasion to thank her childhood self, who helped her learn new things as a person.
In this old black and white photo, a baby Kajol is seen smiling happily while sitting on her mother Tanuja’s shoulder. Kajol’s wide, expressive eyes make her easily recognisable even as a baby. Tanuja, on the other hand, is beaming with joy, clearly enjoying this playful moment with her daughter. Sharing the photo, Kajol wrote, “To the two greatest teachers in my life – my mother who gave me all the lessons and the child me who learnt them in her own way. The stumbles, the falls, the misunderstandings and the experiences. I can see you both so clearly now. #happyteachersday #firstteacher #motherknowsbest (sic).”
Kajol is the daughter of veteran actress Tanuja and late filmmaker Shomu Mukherjee. She began her acting career with ‘Bekhudi’ and went on to star in iconic Hindi films such as ‘Baazigar’, ‘Dilwale Dulhania Le Jayenge’, ‘Kuch Kuch Hota Hai’, ‘Kabhi Khushi Kabhie Gham’, ‘My Name Is Khan’, and ‘Tanhaji: The Unsung Warrior’.
