Eminem got an unforgettable surprise from his daughter Hailey Jade Scott, and he managed to capture the moment on camera — he’s going to be a grandfather!
On Thursday, October 3, Eminem released a touching music video for his song Temporary, dedicated to Hailey. The video is a montage of footage featuring the rapper and his daughter over the years, including clips from her special day in May. Eminem can be seen holding back tears when he sees his daughter in the white dress for the first time, as well as during their father-daughter dance.
At the end of the video, the proud dad shared a clip of Hailey revealing she’s expecting her first child with husband Evan McClintock. The influencer and podcaster handed her father a blue football jersey with Grandfather written on it, where the player’s name usually is, and the jersey number 1. Along with the customized garment, he also gave Eminem a sonogram image, which left his eyes and jaw wide open. drop.
Hailey herself celebrated her pregnancy by announcing it on Instagram, posting a photo with her husband and captioning it, “Mom and dad approx 2025.”
Hailey Jade got engaged to her longtime boyfriend McClintock on February 4, 2023. After meeting at Michigan State University in 2016, she and McClintock dated for six years before their engagement.
“A casual weekend recap. 2.4.23. I love you @evanmcclintock,” she captioned a photo of her fiancé getting down on one knee, as well as a photo of her dazzling diamond ring at the time.
In an interview on Hailey’s Just a Little Shady podcast, McClintock revealed that he had asked for Eminem’s blessing to propose during his birthday party in December 2022.
More than a year after their engagement, Hailey Jade announced in an Instagram post along with photos from their wedding that she had married McClintock.
“Wake up a wife this week. We could not have asked for a better, more beautiful weekend ceremony,” they wrote, adding that there were plenty of laughs and smiles, as well as abundant tears of joy, during their wedding ceremony.
Temporary featuring Skylar Grey, is one of two songs on Eminem’s latest album, The Death of Slim Shady (Coup de Grace), dedicated to his children. Somebody Save Me, featuring Jelly Roll, is another single from the project, written as an apology to his children for his shortcomings as a father.
Eminem’s 12th album, released in July, debuted at number 1 on the Billboard 200. It recently returned to the top 10 following the release of its extended mourning edition.
