Elon Musk’s estranged daughter Vivian Wilson, who came out as transgender in 2022, has attacked her father over his controversial post in which he offered to give Taylor Swift a baby after she endorsed Democratic candidate Kamala Harris for president.
Taylor Swift, 20, showed her support for the pop star on Instagram threads, writing, “Honestly, Taylor Swift’s timing for endorsing Kamala Harris couldn’t have been better. Can’t wait to see Swifties at the polling booths! Vote blue.”
Wilson also commented on her father’s post responding to Swift’s support for her, in which she described herself as a “childless cat lady,” a term used by Donald Trump’s running mate to mock childless women.
“Ok Taylor… you win… I’ll give you a baby and protect your cats with my life,” the Tesla CEO had said in a post on X, which was described as “weird” and “creepy” by users in the comments.
In a second post on the Instagram threads, he admitted to seeing the post and labelled it “disgusting incel nonsense”.
“Also, yes, I saw the “tweet”. The disgusting incel bullshit is truly disgusting incel bullshit. I don’t really have anything to add to it, it’s just disgusting. It’s so obvious and if you don’t see how then you’re part of the problem. I would just like to tell my viewers to not let people talk to you like that. It’s disgusting, it’s degrading and extremely sexist. You deserve better than that,” she wrote.
The term incel (short for involuntary celibate) is often used to describe men who are hostile toward women they consider unattractive and refuse to have sex with them.
“I’m actually not the biggest fan of this topic. I am, after all, a free person with my own name. However, I feel it was important to say, even if it’s incredibly self-evident. Cheers,” she said.
Wilson is one of Musk’s 12 children.
The tech billionaire’s relationship with his daughter soured after she filed a petition in a US court to change her name and gender in June 2022, requesting to take her mother’s last name.
Musk is known for his “anti-trans” views and claimed that Wilson, who was assigned male at birth, was “killed by a woke-mind virus” and alleged that she was “tricked” into allowing gender reassignment surgery.
In her petition, Wilson said she no longer lives with her biological father and does not want to be associated with him in any way.
