Salman Khan is often spotted spending all the important days and festivals with his entire family. The Bhaijaan of Bollywood, along with his brothers Arbaaz and Sohail Khan and sisters Alvira and Arpita, often joins his extended family for family lunches and dinners. A while back, the Tiger 3 star’s nephew Ayan Agnihotri revealed what it’s like to have a meal with his family.
In an interview with News18, Ayan Agnihotri, son of Atul Agnihotri and Alvira Khan Agnihotri, spoke about the time he spends with his family at Salman Khan’s Galaxy apartment during Eid. He said it is like any big family luncheon. While it looks pretty normal, “it is also very noisy.” There are a lot of jokes and a few shouts here and there, he said. Then some of the elders give the youngsters a dressing down and instruct them to do certain things.
The whole family sits down for lunch at 3 pm. His grandfather Salim Khan is the first to sit at the table. “When he starts eating, we kids also sit with him,” he said. He further added that in the absence of the senior member, Sohail Khan takes over the table and starts having fun just like the kids of the family. Ayan, who started his career with a music video titled Party Fever, further said that there are so many people that they circle the table to eat. “If Nana decides to have dinner late, Sohail mamu comes to the table first and starts eating and then Nirvan, Arhaan and I join him. Sohail mamu is the best!” said Ayan.
He also described Sohail as the coolest uncle who would take the kids of the family on random trips and vacations. When they were growing up, the Hello actor would take them along with Nirvaan, Arhaan and their friends anywhere. He would wake up and tell them ‘Let’s go to Goa or Alibaug!’ It would just be him and the seven kids.
Talking about his other uncle Arbaaz Khan, Ayaan said that he can be scary at times. According to the youngster, the actor-filmmaker always keeps him on his toes. At one moment, he is really funny and then suddenly he becomes very serious and then funny again. The youngster also revealed that weekends spent in Panvel are his favourite family holidays.
Furthermore, he called Arhaan his favourite cousin and said that he laughs out loud during arguments with Fairy actress Alizeh Agnihotri. While he also pampers his younger cousins, he also drops Aahil to school every morning.
