Prime Day is next week – it runs from June 23rd to June 26th. However, Amazon Germany has already started offering early Prime Day deals. You need a subscription for these, but the free trial will do just fine.
Below is a mix of older and newer models, although, generally, the newer model makes more sense. Plus, oftentimes, upgrading to a higher storage level is quite cheap and worth it.
We’ll start with the Samsung Galaxy S26 Ultra and S25 Ultra – check out our in-depth comparison if you need help deciding between these two. In short, the 2026 brings Ultra Privacy Display, the latest Snapdragon flagship chip, longer battery life with faster charging. However, it loses the titanium frame of the 2025 model.

Next up, we have the smaller Samsung Galaxy S26 and Galaxy S25. It’s less obvious – the Euro S26 has an Exynos 2600 instead of a Snapdragon. It still managed to extend the battery life with a battery capacity of 300mAh. The screen has also increased from 6.2″ to 6.3″. Unfortunately, the already outdated cameras did not change at all.

The Samsung Galaxy S26+ doesn’t compare well to the S26 Ultra. And it’s usually not necessary to do this because there is a big difference in their MSRP. The big problem right now is that the 512GB S26+ costs the same as the 512GB S25 Ultra. Even though it’s a year older, the S25 Ultra has marked advantages over the Plus – especially as the cameras on the vanilla and Plus models haven’t been updated in half a decade at this point. The S26+ has better battery capacity, but that’s it.

The S25+ isn’t part of the early Prime Day deal, but the Samsung Galaxy S25 Edge is. You get the Ultra’s 200MP 1/1.3″ camera sensor at the expense of a telephoto lens – although, losing a 10MP 3x/67mm camera is hardly a tragedy. The Edge’s super slim (5.8mm vs 7.3mm) and lighter (163g vs 190g) structure means a smaller battery with less stamina than the S26+ (3,900mAh vs 4,900mAh). Have an Achilles heel.

The base Poco F8 Ultra 12/256GB costs €650 and the 16/512GB upgrade is still under €700. It is one of the cheapest phones with Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5. It also brings a 6.9″ 120Hz OLED display with a larger 6,500mAh battery (100W wired, 50W wireless charging). The camera setup features three 50MP modules: a 1/1.31″ main, a 5x/115mm periscope and a 102° ultra-wide. There is also a 32MP selfie camera.

The Poco F8 Pro is around €500, a little more or less depending on the memory configuration. It still offers a powerful Snapdragon 8 Elite (previous generation) and a 6,210mAh battery (100W wired-only charging). The camera setup isn’t as good as the Ultra, but still competitive with the Galaxy S+ models: 50MP 1/1.55″ main, 50MP 2.5x/60mm tele and 8MP 120° ultra-wide. Here’s a detailed comparison of the Poco F8 Pro vs Poco F8 Ultra.

Poco fast charging and it works not only with HyperCharge adapter but also with GPS.
Poco had to give something, but it’s actually a better camera than the specifications suggest. Check out our Poco X8 Pro vs Poco X8 Pro Max head-to-head article for a more in-depth comparison.

The Motorola Edge 70 is 50% off and costs the same as the Poco X8 Pro Max. It’s thinner and lighter (6.0 mm, 159 g vs. 8.2 mm, 218 g) and while it has a good 4,800mAh battery capacity, endurance is disappointing – it barely beats the S25 Edge. This model features a 6.7” 120Hz OLED display and is powered by the Snapdragon 7 Gen 4. It has a 50MP 1/1.56” main camera and a 50MP 120° ultra-wide, as well as a 50MP selfie module.

For completeness, we’re including the Samsung Galaxy A37 and Galaxy A57. Here’s how they compare to each other. Not that it matters much, there are better discounts on the A57 and the price is effectively the same as the A37, while it’s clearly the better phone with its thinner and lighter (6.9 mm, 179 g vs 7.4 mm, 196 g) metal body (vs plastic) and faster chipset (Exynos 1680 vs 1480). Both phones have the same capacity 5,000mAh battery and the same 45W wired-only charging.
However, unless you have a Samsung, there are more powerful models available in the €400 segment – see above.
