Dune: Prophecy trailer gives important clues

Dune: Prophecy, previously titled Dune: The Sisterhood, is based on the novel Sisterhood of Dune by Brian Herbert and Kevin J. Anderson. According to the official logline, the show will “follow the Harkonnen sisters as they combat forces that threaten the future of mankind, and establish the legendary sect known as the Bene Gesserit.”

These beings have the power to control every aspect of their bodies, including blood flow, heart rate, internal organs, and even their fertility. Viewers first saw the Bene Gesserit abilities in Dune through Lady Jessica (Rebecca Ferguson), who teaches her son Paul Atreides (Timothee Chalamet) how to control them.

The trailer vividly depicts the Sisterhood’s struggle to tame a fragile yet apocalyptic power amid religious and political challenges.

A voiceover in the trailer says, “Our hands rest on the levers of power, yet our grip on them is still tenuous.” Set 10,000 years before the events of Dune, the prequel has the potential to transport the audience into a dark fantasy world with its gripping and original story.
