Matt Duffer and Ross Duffer, often credited as The Duffer Brothers, revealed a new spin-off of the horror show Stranger Things series with new characters and a different mythology. Matt revealed that the show will be based in a new city and a new world.

When Matt was asked about future spin-offs of Stranger Things in an interview Diversity Said, “Spinoffy, yes. You screwed us over. Very annoying. I want to explain, just because people’s expectations tend to go in certain directions: The spin-off will go deeper into that and explain it, and you’re going to understand it. But it’s a completely different mythology. So it’s not a deep exploration of the Mind Flayer or anything like that. It’s very fresh and very new, but yes, it will answer some of the loose threads that are left.”

“We’re going to start working on it again on Monday. We’ve been working on it from time to time. We’ll take a few days off,” Ross said.

Matt insisted, “You don’t understand. My favorite part of the show is working on it. It’s not releasing it – it’s just stressful, no matter how it happens when you release it. That’s probably my least favorite part of the process. I love the creative part. I love creating it. So, we’re really excited, and it’s very exciting to be working with a clean slate: completely new characters, new city, new world, new mythology.” He also told that there will be no common characters in the upcoming series. stranger things,
