Drishyam 3 teaser: Mohanlal’s Georgekutty struggles with guilt as buried truths threaten to be exposed

Drishyam 3, starring Mohanlal in the lead, is all set to release in theaters on May 21, 2026, coinciding with the superstar’s 66th birthday. Ahead of the film hitting the big screens, the team has unveiled the official teaser, offering the audience yet another interesting and thrilling story.

The teaser of Drishyam 3 runs for 1 minute and 50 seconds, starting with glimpses of the climax of the first two installments. In the present-day story, Georgekutty, played by Mohanlal, is seen praying inside a church, reflecting on how he grew up without a family, and how, when someone threatened to take away the family he had built, he didn’t even think twice about protecting them.

Now, as the secret threatens to be revealed, Georgekutty appears more scared than ever, constantly looking over his shoulder and feeling anxious.

With the new teaser, it seems like the makers are giving a deeper insight into the mindset of Georgekutty and the emotional trauma he has endured over the years for his family. Apart from Mohanlal, the teaser also shows glimpses of Meena, Ansiba Hassan, Esther Anil, Asha Sarath, Murali Gopi and Siddique, all reprising their roles from the previous installments.

The film, directed by Jeethu Joseph, was earlier scheduled to release on April 2, 2026. However, the team later postponed it.

Mohanlal’s work front

Mohanlal Will next be seen with Mammootty in Patriot. Directed by Mahesh Narayanan, the espionage action thriller is scheduled to release on May 1, 2026. Apart from the two superstars, the film stars Fahadh Faasil, Kunchacko Boban, Nayanthara, Darshan Rajendran, Revathi, Rajeev Menon and others in lead roles.

Looking ahead, Lleyton will headline athimnoharamDirected by Tharun Murthy. The film is touted to be a police action-comedy, starring Meera Jasmine in the co-lead role. He has also announced that he will play the lead role in the tentatively titled L367 and director Priyadarshan’s 100th film.

Apart from this, the actor is also expected to appear in cameo roles in Khalifa, Kathanar, Jailer 2 and Thudakkam.
