Mohanlal’s prestigious performance in the Drisum Franchise has received widespread appreciation for all the right reasons. After two successful installments, the producers are ready to return to a third, and the actor has now confirmed the release time.
Surprisingly, the Hindi version of the film is also likely to shoot together, Ajay Devgan acted as the lead.
Mohanlal returns as Georgekutty in Drisham 3
Taking X, Mohanlal dropped a video, which begins with a clip of his role as Georgcutty from the Drisum Franchise. As it moves forward, Mohanlal can be seen shaking hands with director Jethu Joseph and producer Anthony Permbavur, indicating that they are once again joining the forces.
Sharing the video, he wrote “October 2025 – The camera returns to Georgcutty. The past never remains silent. #Drishyam3.”
Ajay Devgan also started shooting for Drisham 3 in Hindi
According to a special report by Pinkvilla, Ajay Devgn, who led the Hindi version of the Drishyam film franchise, is set to start shooting from October 2, 2025.
The source said, “Gandhi Jayati Tithi has great importance for the Drisham franchise, and so they are starting a journey for the final Drisham film since October 2, 2025. It is a marathon schedule, which is 3 months old at real places in Maharashtra, which is already as an unison.”
It seems that both films can be shot together and it will be interesting to testify how both take shape over time.
When Mohanlal dropped beans on Drisham 3
Earlier, in an interview with Pinkvilla Masterclass, Mohanlal opened about how Drisham 3 will out and what is for the audience, which is in store for on-screen witnesses.
He commented that it is difficult to make another sequel to the already successful film franchise as people have high expectations. However, with Drishyam 3, the actor assured that producers and directors were trying their best to bring something new to the table.
