Vivek Oberoi has been a part of many big projects. However, there are some blockbuster films that he could not be a part of, including Munna Bhai MBBS, Hum Tum and Om Shanti Om. In a recent interview, the actor revealed that he decided to say ‘no’ to Shah Rukh Khan’s film as he had already started working on his gangster drama, Shootout at Lokhandwala.

Speaking to MensXP, Vivek Oberoi elaborated that he had to choose either Om Shanti Om or Shootout At Lokhandwala because the dates were clashing. Apparently he had to play a negative role in both the films. Sharing why he chose Apoorva Lakhia’s action-thriller, Oberoi said that first of all, he liked his character. Secondly, by the time Farah Khan approached him, he had already started his complete research for the character.

“I met the police, read his crime files and started imagining the character. I had already prepared for that role for 4-5 months. Then, at that time, it would have been difficult to suddenly change gears and wear a suave suit,” said the company newcomer.

However, he admitted that if the situation had been different, he would have definitely said ‘yes’ to Shah Rukh Khan and Deepika Padukone’s action-drama film. Describing Farah’s film as a brilliant film, Vivek admitted that it would have been amazing to work with Shah Rukh as in his career he had got the opportunity to shoot for a few nights with King Khan in Saathiya in which he played a guest role. ,

In the same interview, the actor touched upon the concept of love and marriage. The Great Grand Masti actor, who has been married to Priyanka Alva for over a decade, said, “I don’t understand the concept of open marriage. I don’t understand the definition of open specification. Either you are special, or you are nothing. There can be no such thing as an open specification.”

Meanwhile, on the work front, Vivek Oberoi will next be seen in Indra Kumar’s Masti 4 alongside Aftab Shivdasani and Riteish Deshmukh. Stay connected to Pinkvilla for more such interesting updates about B-Town and its celebs!
