Director Sanjay Gupta said he noticed many underage viewers at the packed screening of the A-certified film Obsession. This psychological horror thriller released in India on 29 May.

Filmmaker Sanjay Gupta has raised questions over the enforcement of age restrictions in theatres, claiming he saw too many underage children attending a screening of the A-certified Hollywood horror thriller. Passion During a theater tour recently.
Gupta shared the observation on X, where he compared two films playing in the same multiplex. When he found himself alone at the screening of a recently released Malayalam film, he talked about the screening in a neighboring auditorium. Passion The audience was packed, many of whom appeared to be younger than the age prescribed for the film.
Sharing his experience, Gupta wrote, “Yesterday evening I went to watch a recently released Malayalam film, and I was the only one in the theatre. In the next screen, my son was watching Obsession and the theater was packed with children, most of whom were underage. It’s amazing that this film is creating a sensation everywhere.”
