Director of Umaro Jaan called Bhansali’s Hiramandi to the top: very palace and prosperous
Director Muzaffar Ali recently expressed his views on Sanjay Leela Bhansali’s show ‘Hiramandi’. His classic ‘Umrao Jaan’ released Riyakha in theaters on 27 June.

Director Muzaffar Ali recently shared his opinion on Sanjay Leela Bhansali’s ‘Hiramandi’ (2024). Appreciating Bhansali’s efforts, he also explained why he consider the Netflix series at an over-the-top.

The director added, “It is very difficult to compare. It is also a lot of effort. My journey comes from tights and cupboards and cupboards; I have a different passion for clothes.”
Ali said, “Hiramandi” is good, but over-the-top. It is very palace and rich. I will not do this. I will speak a different language. “

The film tells the story of a Lucknow-based etiquette and poet, and his fame has increased. It is set against the backdrop of the 19th century and detects the relationship that he is formed with people along with the arrival of Amiran (Rekha) in a brothel in Lucknow. Apart from Rekha, the film also included Farooq Sheikh, Naseeruddin Shah, Shaukat Kaifi, Dina Pathak, Gajanan Jagirdar, Prema Narayan, Satish Shah and others.
Under the National Film Heritage Mission, ‘Umrao Jaan’ was restored by the National Film Development Corporation (NFDC and National Film Archive of India (NFAI).
