Director Mani Ratnam is one of the few filmmakers who are still making impressive films and have been relevant for generations in the last 40 years. Speaking about the title of his upcoming film, ‘Thug Life’, he said that he was considering various options, and ‘Thug Jeevan’ was right because he feels the gene.

During a press interaction in Mumbai, director Mani Ratnam revealed that the title ‘Thug Life’ was suggested by Kamal Haasan. “It just felt right,” he said, explaining that they were searching for various options. He said, “We are Jean-Z,” reflecting changing trends and their awareness about developed audiences.

Actor Kamal Haasan said that how soon he finalized the title, he said, “We were watching different titles. We kept telling each other different options. He said yes for just one title. How soon we agreed to it.”
