Punjabi singer Diljit Dosanjh is currently making waves across the globe with his Dil-Luminati Tour. After his global concerts in Vancouver, Dallas, Washington DC, Chicago, Los Angeles and other places, Diljit is all set to hit India soon with his Dil-Luminati Tour. The singer created history when over 1 lakh tickets were sold in 15 minutes for the upcoming concert during the pre-sale that began on September 10. Amid the rush for tickets, Diljit’s manager Sonali Singh has revealed that during his US Dil-Luminati Tour, many people sold tickets for Rs 54 lakh and Rs 46 lakh. She also admitted that her team earned a revenue of Rs 234 crore from the US tour.
During her new interview with Connect Cine, Sonal Singh revealed that Diljit Dosanjh earned Rs 234 crore from his US shows during the Dil-Luminati tour. Sonal also revealed how many people buy tickets at the original price and then sell them at higher prices.
He said, “Some resellers were selling tickets for $64,000 (Rs 54 lakhs) and $55,000 (Rs 46 lakhs), and there were buyers.” The manager also revealed that Diljit earned around $28 million (Rs 234 crores) during his North America Dil-Luminati tour.
Sonali further revealed how Diljit Dosanjh’s fans in Abu Dhabi are eagerly waiting for his performance in the UAE capital. Reacting to the positive response, she revealed that the team has sold around 30,000 tickets for his Dil-Luminati Tour in Abu Dhabi. According to the manager, this is “the highest number of tickets sold by any Indian artist”.
Soon after the pre-sale of Diljit Dosanjh’s Dil-Luminati Tour-India began, some fans expressed disappointment at not being able to buy tickets as all the tickets were sold out within minutes. The price of Gold (Phase 3) tickets in Delhi started at Rs 12,999.
For those who don’t know, the Dil-Luminati tour will begin in India from October 26. The first concert will be held at Delhi’s Jawaharlal Nehru Stadium from 7 pm to 10 pm. Other concerts will be held in Chandigarh, Guwahati, Pune, Indore, Bengaluru, Kolkata, Lucknow, Hyderabad and Ahmedabad.
