Dhurandhar’s Ayesha Khan says she was asked to fix her nose, teeth for roles
Actress Ayesha Khan has spoken about getting suggestions to make cosmetic changes to get more opportunities. She was recently seen in the song ‘Shararat’ from ‘Dhurandhar’ and the film ‘Kis Kisko Pyaar Karoon 2’.
Actress Ayesha Khan was seen in the song of the recently released film Shararat. stalwarthas spoken openly about being asked to ‘fix’ his nose and teeth. She shared how individuals not directly involved in creative decisions advised her that she needed to change aspects of her look if she wanted to secure more roles.
talking to Galata IndiaAyesha said, “I never said that to a director. It was always a coordinator, or some random person, who would tell me that. One person said to me, ‘You need to change your nose’ and I was like, ‘What’s that comment even?’ First of all, I love my nose and I think my nose is very beautiful, and secondly, who are you to tell me that I need to change my nose.”
He added, “These are people who have nothing better to do with their lives. What else are they going to do?”
The actress also recounted an incident during a casting session for a horror film, where a comment was made about her teeth.
She recalled, “I remember I went for a casting session for a film and the director came for it. It was a very famous director. I was very excited for the meeting and it was going to be a horror film. He asked me to audition right then and there and I did. He was very happy with it.”
“Then he told me that since it’s a horror movie, it’s OK; otherwise, you have to get your teeth replaced. And I was there thinking, ‘Did he just say that?’ I was very happy, smiling before that,” said the actor.
