Dhurandhar proved that Bollywood is alive, destroyed false stories: Nikitin Dheer
Actor Nikitin Dheer backed Aditya Dhar’s spy-thriller ‘Dhurandhar’, praising the direction and “excellent performances”. He celebrated the film for defeating “false narratives” and its accurate portrayal of India’s geopolitical past and wished for its massive success at the box office.

Director Aditya Dhar’s espionage-thriller Dhurandhar received mixed reviews from audiences and critics amid its dominance at the box office. While the film has received widespread praise, it has also sparked controversy, with a section of the audience terming it “propaganda”. Now, actor Nikitin Dheer (known for films like Chennai Express and Jodhaa Akbar) has publicly expressed his support for the project.
On Sunday, the actor shared a video on his Instagram handle and reviewed Dhurandhar. He expressed his strong approval of the film and outlined the reasons why it affected him so deeply. Nikitin particularly praised the cinematography, background music, and “excellent performances” of the cast, as well as the work of the director.
In the video, he said, “Dhurandhar has united the audience because, before its release, there was a strange narrative that it was declared a flop even before it hit the theatres. The people who pushed that narrative once the film started have disappeared. I believe more such films should be made – films that make you feel proud and also provoke anger. If you read India’s geopolitical past, you will realize that this That’s how accurate and important the film is. I hope it breaks barriers – Rs 500 crore to Rs 800 crore.”
His Instagram caption reads, “People usually hate what they can’t control. #Dhurandar has demolished every obstacle that came in its way, showing the truth in the most cinematically beautiful way.. It has destroyed false stories and proved that Bollywood is alive and kicking, I am proud to be a part of this fraternity where a well-made film is talked about all over the world.
More power to such producers and once again salute to all the technicians and actors of the film..(sic)”
The actor concluded, “May we see things as they are, may we not be fooled by pseudo-intellectuals and their catchy words…can we be united in our love and dedication to our country and may we realize that the true heroes are those soldiers who give their entire lives for our motherland…can we become the people our country deserves. Jai Hind…(sic).”
