Anurag Kashyap reviews Aditya Dhar’s Dhurandhar: This is his politics
Anurag Kashyap has shared his review of Dhurandhar, in which he praised Aditya Dhar’s filmmaking and Ranveer Singh’s performance, while disagreeing with some of the dialogues.

Aditya Dhar’s espionage action thriller stalwartThe Ranveer Singh starrer, has continued its strong performance at the box office, with reports placing it among the top five highest-grossing Indian films of all time since its release on December 5, 2025. As the film continues to garner massive commercial success, filmmaker Anurag Kashyap has now shared his views on the much-talked about espionage drama, praising Dhar’s filmmaking and Ranveer’s performance, while also pointing out a few moments with which he disagreed.

This is his politics. Real politics. Agree or disagree with it. The man is honest. Not opportunistic like others. All his films are about Kashmir. He is a Kashmiri Pandit who has suffered. Either you argue with him or let him be. The filmmaking is top notch. If you like The Hurt Locker, Zero Dark Thirty or House of Dynamite. They are about the United States of America. There are two Oscar-winning promotional films and I liked the filmmaking and the filmmaker’s insistence. If I have to argue about the politics of it, I would call Dhaar an important film.”
