Dhurandhar 2: Madras High Court issues order against illegal streaming of the film
A day before its scheduled release on 19 March, Dhurandhar: The Revenge received legal protection from the Madras High Court. The order aims to prevent illegal broadcasting and streaming on internet and cable platforms.

In a timely move ahead of its big release, the Madras High Court has stepped in to curb piracy Dhurandhar: RevengeIssuing interim injunction against unauthorized streaming and telecast of the film.
The order, passed on March 18, comes just a day before the theatrical release of the film, with paid previews already underway. As reported, the court has barred internet service providers and cable TV operators from illegally streaming or broadcasting the film till April 15. bar and bench.

Benched by Justice Senthilkumar Ramamurthy, the petition was filed by Reliance Industries Limited and Jio Studios, who expressed concerns over possible copyright infringement and unauthorized dissemination of the film on digital and cable platforms. The producers argued that piracy at this stage could lead to considerable financial losses, especially as the film is getting ready for a nationwide rollout.
Noting the urgency, the court said that failure to act could result in “irreparable injury” to rights holders. Additionally, it was acknowledged that the legitimate business interests of some arbitrators may be affected. To strike a balance, the court directed the manufacturers to provide compensation to the affected parties.
As part of the order, notices have been issued to the concerned respondents, with the next hearing of the case scheduled for April 15.
Reliance was represented by lawyer T Pandian of PK Law Firm. Notably, the company had earlier withdrawn a similar petition in February, which had sought comprehensive anti-piracy measures for the same film.
Dhurandhar: Revenge will go ahead with its theatrical release as planned on March 19, under the protection of a court order. Directed by Aditya Dhar, the film is a sequel to the hit 2025 stalwart.
Ranveer Singh plays the role of an undercover agent in the film, along with R Madhavan, Arjun Rampal and Sanjay Dutt in important roles. The cast also includes Rakesh Bedi, Gaurav Gera, Danish Pandor and Sara Arjun in supporting roles.
