Actor Vikram Bhambri, who appears Dhurandhar: Revengehas revealed that many of his scenes were removed from the final cut of the film, which left him disappointed. The actor, who plays Lyari Goon, Shakeel Commando in the Ranveer Singh-led project, admitted that the experience initially affected him, even though the film is becoming a huge success at the box office.

Speaking about the situation, Bhambri shared that although he was grateful to be a part of such a large-scale production, the reduction in screen time came as a blow. He said that cuts, possibly due to editing requirements, meant that the footage he worked on did not make it into the final version.

He explained that on the sets, the actors were informed that they would be a part of Ranveer Singh’s gang, which made the experience worthwhile. However, after watching the released film, he noticed that many of his scenes were missing. He admitted to feeling uneasy for a few days, saying that an actor naturally wants visibility, and the editing frustrated him.

How did he cope with disappointment?

Bhambri said his perspective changed after an unexpected meeting with a delivery person who recognized him from the film. The brief conversation made him realize that despite limited screen time, audiences still paid attention to his presence.

After that moment, he recovered from his initial disappointment and began to appreciate his involvement in the project. He stressed that being a part of a film of this scale is valuable in itself, regardless of the final edit.

How is ‘Dhurandhar: The Revenge’ performing?

Directed by Aditya Dhar, the espionage thriller has performed strong at the box office since its release. The film starring Ranveer Singh along with Arjun Rampal, Sanjay Dutt, Sara Arjun and R Madhavan earned a whopping Rs 145 crore on the first day including paid previews.

It has since crossed the Rs 1,400 crore mark worldwide, surpassing the lifetime earnings of its predecessor within a matter of weeks. The film has maintained its momentum at the box office, even with discussions coming from within the cast regarding editing and screen time.

Despite his reduced presence in the final cut, Bhambri is now focusing on the overall success of the film and his association with the high-profile project.
