At Kubera’s East-Relise event, Dhanush highly praised the director Sekhar Kamula. From being emotional about his father to wishing to direct a film in Telugu for Pawan Kalyan, Dhanush put his heart as before in the Kubera’s East-Relise event, in which SS Rajamouli also participated as a chief guest.

Dhanush about his second film in Telugu
Kubera marked my 51st film in Tamil and my second film in Telugu. Sekhar Kamula sir shared this story with me even before the head. At a time when the industry is chasing numbers, this man is chasing butterflies – looking for stories with the soul, not only on a scale.
A film that he would like to direct?
During the Kubra incident, Dhanush said, “I would like to direct a film for Pawan Kalyan sir in Telugu.”
Dhanush says, “If you earn 150 rupees, you will have a problem in 200 rupees. If you earn 1 crore, you will have a problem of 2 crores.”

Shoped in Hyderabad and Mumbai, and wrapped in April, music in music at Kubera is the music of Devi Sri Prasad, Nichet Bomeddi by cinematography, editing by Karthika Srinivas and production design by Thota Thaney. Kubera is scheduled to release dramatically worldwide on 20 June 2025.
