Filmmakers Mari Selvaraj and Dhanush re -joined the next film after four years of Karnan. The director announced cooperation for a new project, titled D56. The upcoming film will be produced by Ishari Ganesh under the banner of Wales Films International.

Mari Selvaraj marked the fourth anniversary of Karnan and announced his next cooperation with Dhanush. He wrote, “When we celebrate a four -year journey, feeling overwhelmed KärnanThe sword of! Great to all those who have supported and nurtured Kärnan Over the years. I am thrilled to share that my next film will once again be with my most beloved @dhanushkraja sir! This story has been going on in my mind for some time, and I am really excited to form the team again with him. This is also my first project with @ishikganesh sir, and I can’t be happy. It is sure to be a thrilling ride! Here, roots begin a great war (SIC). ,

Dhanush and Mari Selvaraj first collaborated for social action drama Karnan in 2021. While not much has been revealed about the upcoming project, the producers announced the film with a poster.

The first poster showed a sword (reminiscent of Karnan) with a handle as a human skull. The “Roots Start A Great War” reads the poster.

Meanwhile, Dhanush will be seen in Kadai next time under his direction. He has also acted in the film. The film also includes lead roles in Nithya Menon, Arun Vijay, Shalini Pandey, Prakash Raj and Rajkaran.
